AIKEN - Mr. Benjamin Lee "Ben" Young, 27, died Saturday, October 9, 2010. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Reverend Robert T. Byrne officiating. Pallbearers will be John Young, Paul Young, Carson Young, John Gustafson and Andrew Brown and Tim Tregger. Ben was born in Columbia, SC, and had been a resident of Aiken since he was in the 4th grade. He worked in construction, enjoyed music, playing his guitar and attending polo matches. Ben enjoyed the outdoors. He loved camping in the mountains and his family vacations at the river in Beaufort and at the beach. He was extremely devoted to his family. He loved animals and was hardly ever without his dog, Joe. He attended Millbrook Baptist Church. Ben is survived by his loving parents, Jeanne (Tray) Williamson, Aiken, Wesley J. (Frankie) Young, Aiken; a sister, Laura Young (Whit) Johnson, Atlanta, GA; a brother, Tyler Jenkins Young, Aiken; maternal grandparents, Ben and Janet New, Aiken; and his loving friend, Sara Hair, Aiken. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. W. L. Young of Hampton, SC. Memorials may be directed to Molly's Militia, P.O. Box 6816, N.
