Aiken Eugen Bowers

AIKEN, SC -- AIKEN EUGENE BOWERS, 78, beloved husband of Reba Ward Bowers, died Monday, October 18, 2010 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Hampton, SC, Mr. Bowers was a son of the late Henry and Louise Mason Bowers. He had lived in Aiken most of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and was the retired owner of Bowers Painting Contractors. Survivors, in addition to his wife Reba, include three sons; Gene Bowers and Rickey Bowers both of Aiken, and Mickel (Sandy) Bowers, Atlanta, GA, six grandchildren; Torie Kellems, Baron Bowers, Blake Bowers, Christopher Bowers and Lacrisha Bowers, Cherise Bowers, eleven great-grandchildren; Miles Kellems, Logan Kellems, Braylen Bowers, Gage Bowers, Eli Bowers, Tyler Bowers, Aeris Johnsen, Kelsey Conners, Sterling Seigler, Reese Seigler and Kylie Bowers and a sister, Flory Segars, Varnville, SC. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home with The Rev. Dr. Mark Canipe officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.
