George David McIver

AIKEN - Mr. George David McIver, 91, passed away October 26, 2010 in Walterboro, SC. Funeral services will be held in Dallas, TX at a later date. Mr. McIver was born in Rusk, TX, a son of the late Barley and Annie Roten McIver. He served in WWII and Korea as a glider pilot in the US Air Force, and then served 25 years in the US Army as a meteorologist.. He met yearly in Branson, MO with his Army buddies. He was a Mason, a lifetime member of the Air Stream Club, and a lifetime member of the Good Sam Travel Club. Mr. McIver is survived bv his daughters, M. Carol McIlree, Pittsburgh, PA, Miquela Keating, Aiken; eleven grandchildren, Robert McIver, Jr., Kathleen McAloon, Mary Franzetta, Michael McIlree, Andrew McIlree, Archie McIlree, Amy McIlree, Patrick Keating, Casey Keating, Michael Keating and Erin K. Brinkley.; twenty-one great grandchildren; fpur great-great grandchildern. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna McIver.
