Walt Eugene Cook

AIKEN - Mr. Walt Eugene Cook, 40, died Monday, October 25, 2010 from injuries sustained in a car accident. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Saturday at the funeral home, and graveside funeral services will then follow at 3:30 PM in Historic Bethany Cemetery. Walt was born in Davy, WV, a son of the late Walter E. and Josephine Reed Cook. He had been a resident of Aiken for the last 20 years, and was a forklift operator for Kimberly Clark. He was a loving husband and father. He loved Carolina football and NASCAR. He was a friend to everyone he met. He is survived by his loving wife, Christina Elizabeth Davis Cook; a daughter, Elizabeth Anne Cook and son, Walt Eugene "J.R." Cook, both of Aiken; three sisters, Caroline Cook, Davy, WV, Teresa Taylor, Ikes Fork, WV, Misty Cook, Bartley, WV; three brothers, Ronnie Cook, Winnabow, NC, Michael Cook, Pineville, WV, Bobby Cook, Welch, WV. The family has requested that memorials be made to the Christina Cook Scholarship Fund for the Children, c/o George Davis, P.O.
