AIKEN - Mr. Milton Clark Smith, 83, died Tuesday, November 9, 2010.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel, Hayne Ave. Reverend Jeff Best will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Mr. Smith was born in Thorsby, AL, a son of the late Glover I. and Inez Johnson Smith. He moved to Aiken in 1952, and was a maintenance supervisor for E.I. DuPont at the Savannah River Plant. He also served in the US Army in WWII.
He is survived by his daughter, Charlotte S. (John) Hargreaves, Lexington, SC; three sons, Joseph Earl (Teresa) Smith, Aiken, Raymond Clark (Carol Ann) Smith, Evans, GA, Robert Alan (Merrie) Smith, Aiken; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Wilene Davenport, Birmingham, AL, Sherry Turner, Naples, FL; four brothers, Jack Smith, Clanton, AL, Charles (Janie) Smith, Florence, SC, Bill (Kathy) Smith, FL, Ronnie (Mary) Smith, Birmingham, AL.
