Harriette Kilgore Weeks

AIKEN - Mrs. Harriette Kilgore Weeks, 82, died Thursday, November 11, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday at Clear Water Branch Baptist Church, Crooked Creek Rd., Aiken, with the Reverend Jimmy Wingate officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at 3:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Weeks was born in Greenville Co., SC, a daughter of the late Wells Benson and Vida Holland Kilgore. She was a member of the Aiken County Education Association, the S.C. Educational Association and the National Education Association. She began her education at Lander College, and graduated the University of South Carolina with two Masters degrees in Education. She was a devoted member of Clear Water Branch Baptist Church, and retired from the Aiken County School System after 29 years of service as a teacher and a librarian. Mrs. Weeks is survived by her daughter, Sylvia (Bob) Studley, Dayton, OH; three sons, James "Randy" (Debbie) Weeks, Aiken, Benson A. Weeks, Aiken, David W. (Nina) Weeks, Summerville, SC; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Rothermel, Richardson, TX; two brothers, Robert "Bob" (Lillian) Kilgore, Simpsonville, SC, William "Bill" (Jackie) Kilgore, Jacksonville, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Randall Weeks, sisters, Mary Mobley and Jewel Kilgore, a brother, Dan Kilgore.
