AIKEN - Inez Mary (Ravagni) Fresolo, a loving mother, devoted wife, cherished family member and friend and dedicated community service volunteer, died on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2010 in Aiken, S.C. She was 61.
Born on May 5, 1949 in Somerville, Mass.
Inez was a beloved daughter of the late Charles Ravagni and Grace (Aveni) Ravagni. She was raised in Wilmington, Mass. and served in the United States Airforce from 1968 to 1971, when she was honorably discharged. In 1977, she graduated from Boston University with a degree in sociology.
A meticulous homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and cooking for her family; she was known for her slow-cooked, homemade pasta sauce, which none could rival. In 2007, she moved to Aiken and became actively involved with the Women of Woodside at Woodside Plantation.
She was the sister of Charles Ravagni of Lowell, Mass., Donna Palmariello of Derry, N.H. and George Ravagni of Wilmington, Mass. She is survived by her husband Joseph Fresolo of Aiken, S.C. and her two daughters, Lauren Carter of Merrimac, Mass. and Elizabeth Carter, who is currently teaching abroad in Moscow, Russia.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at Aiken Church of Christ with Rev. Brian McCutchen officiating. Interment will be private.
