AIKEN, SC -- NOBIE INEZ CARVER CARROLL HEMBREE, 102, widow of Arthur Hembree, died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
A native of Anderson County, SC, Mrs. Hembree was a daughter of the late John William and Clara Keith Carver. She was a homemaker, and had moved to Aiken 5 years ago from Calhoun Falls, SC. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Aiken.
Survivors include two sons; James H. (Flora) Carroll, Aiken, SC and William (Mary) Carroll, Salina, KS, nine grandchildren; Patti (Jay) Pittman, William D. (Lynne) Carroll, Janice (Jim) Hapgood, David Carroll, Artie (Terri) Hembree, Robin (Deno) Verenes, Sandra (Wayne) Yount, Penny (Cary) Johnson and Larry (Mary) Bagwell, twelve great-grandchildren; Heather Marie Hasson, William Edward Carroll, Amy Hapgood, Lisa Hapgood, Stacey Longshore, Daniel (Jennifer) Pittman, April Golding, April (Michael) Golding, Mark Pittman, Jennifer Hill, Velvet Hembree, and James Arthur Hembree, and four great-great-grandchildren; Gavin Hasson, Maykayla Hasson, Celeste Longshore and Langston Longshore. Mrs. Hembree was preceded in death by her husband Arthur and a grandson, John H. Carroll.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church with The Reverend Dr. Rodney K. Powell officiating. The family will receive from 10 - 11 AM at the church. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Anderson, SC.
