John Ansel Hawkins

AIKEN - Mr. John Ansel Hawkins, 87. died November 29, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Todd Hawkins and Michael Dyar officiating. Entombment will follow in the South Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Terry Smith, Michael Johnson, Blake Johnson, Amanda Johnson, Randy Stevenson, Steve Hawkins. Mr. Hawkins was born in Bainbridge, GA, a son of the late Clifford and Azzie Robbs Hawkins. He had been a resident of Aiken since 2005, and was a member of South Aiken Baptist Church. He was a former photographer for Cypress Gardens, in Winter Haven, FL. He is survived by his beloved wife, Johnnie Elna Fears Hawkins; a daughter, Jeanette (Terry) Smith, Aiken; a granddaughter, Kelly (Mike) Johnson, Aiken, two great grandchildren, Amanda and Blake Johnson; brother, Steve Hawkins, Paducah, KY, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, C.J. Hawkins, Jack Hawkins, and Alex Dewey Hawkins, Sisters, Ora Lee Singer and Winell Hawkins.
