Aiken – Mr. Albert Vincent Marino, 95, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022. Mr. Marino was born in Queens, NY, son of the late Lewis and Concetta Scali Marino. He moved to Aiken in 1973, and was the owner of Marino’s Italian and American Restaurant. He was a member of the Richmondville Gun and Knife Club, a Charter member of Kiwanis Club in Copiague, NY, charter member of the Rescue and Ambulance Service in Copiague, and a Republican Committeeman in Copiague. He also served in the US Army during World War II, and was a member of Shaws Fork Baptist Church. Mr. Marino is survived by a son, Mark Marino, Long Island, NY; granddaughter, Vanessa Anderson; step children, Sandy Ross, Melbourne, FL, and Alan Zimmerman, Ocala, FL; a nephew, Glen Mattioli; and a niece, Beatrice Hart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Jones Marino, a brother, Joseph Marino; and sisters, Mary Wipf, and Helen Mattioli. A private inurnment will be held in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at a later date.
