Anna (Anne) Thrasher Butts

Anne who attained 101 years of age this past September, passed quietly on January 30,2025 at Barclay House with her daughters at her side.

Anne was born and raised in Hanover, MA but spent most of her life living in West Dennis on Cape Cod. She moved to Aiken in 2005 for the weather, the golf and to be near children. Anne was a voracious reader, loved jigsaw puzzles but moreover was an avid low handicap golfer and Master level bridge player both of which she was able to enjoy well into her nineties.

Anne is preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband of 45 years, (Lt.) Melford H. Butts (Flying Fortress bombardier, US 8th Air Force, WWII). She is survived by her three children; Linda Kennedy (Nick) of Aiken, Judy Rask (Paul) of Aiken, Melford Butts (Rosanne) of Massapequa Park, NY, Five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be private.
