AIKEN, SC - Anna Lee Shealy Younts, 77, widow of Norman Wade Younts, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday afternoon, September 11, 2022.
Born in Batesburg-Leesville, SC on February 1, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Victor Dalmuth Shealy Sr. and Gladys Shealy. Anna grew up in Batesburg-Leesville, SC and Aiken, SC, and was a 1963 graduate of Aiken High School. She was a proud member of Cedar Creek Church.
Anna is survived by two step-sons Brandon Younts and Lindsey Younts, and a step-daughter, Kemberly Younts. She is also survived by her brother Victor Dalmuth Shealy Jr. and his wife Barbara, and many cousins and relatives from the Batesburg-Leesville area.

Anna was a retired social worker from The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation in Aiken, SC and a retired bookkeeper for Help, Inc. in Aiken, SC. Anna and her late husband Norman were 56 year members of the Gamecock Club and avid supporters of the University of South Carolina. She was a longstanding member of Beta Sigma Phi, a sorority dedicated to social and cultural opportunities for women and service to their communities. She served on the board of Stand at the Crossroads Ministries, a Christian-based residence program that helps and encourages women coming out of brokenness who are committed to learning to live healthy, productive lifestyles. She was most proud of her 33 plus years of sobriety and for all of those years regularly attended AA and Celebrate Recovery meetings. The lives that she positively impacted through her God-given calling as a sponsor through the years are immeasurable. Her strong will, fiery spirit, and refusal to give up were an inspiration to all blessed and fortunate enough to know her. Anna's ability to develop meaningful relationships with everyone she met, and her desire to share her experience and faith with others in need of Christ's love and forgiveness is her legacy. She lived a life of servitude to all she met and faithful obedience to her Heavenly Father. She will be missed tremendously by all who knew her.
Her funeral will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, September 16, 2022 at Shellhouse Funeral Home, 924 Hayne Ave., with the Rev. Ken Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in historic Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers serving will be her grandsons Jonathan, Christopher, and Todd Younts, husband of her granddaughter, Zachary Coker, and her nephews, Victor Dalmuth Shealy III and Lance Shealy. Honorary pallbearers will be her lifelong sisters of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
