Aiken – Mr. Barry Scott Hughes, 73, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024.
Barry was born in South Bend, IN, son of the late John and Edna Joanne Fraser Hughes. He was employed at Ancilla Domini in Donaldson, IN for 34 years. He had a love for music which his neighbors could attest to, and had a deep love for his family and animals. He was a wonderful cook and loved to share with others so they could enjoy his culinary skills. He was always willing to help others in any way he could. He enjoyed the simple things of life and had wonderful wit about him.
Barry is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Elaine Alwine Hughes, step-children, Robert J. (Jennifer) Stout, Jr., Walkerton, IN, Trenton (Morgan) Stout, Shipshewana, IN; grandchildren, Lydia Morris, Bennytt Stout, Paxtyn Stout, Tavyn Stout, Brock Stout, Everly Stout, and Collins Stout; and two brothers, Gil Hughes, South Bend, IN, and Tim Hughes, Tucson, AZ.
Services will be private.
