Bernice Morton Sheffield

AIKEN, SC - Mrs. Bernice Morton Sheffield, 80, beloved wife of W. Aubrey Sheffield, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020. Graveside funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Historic Bethany Cemetery with Pastor Jody Padgett officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the gravesite. Born in Aiken, Mrs. Sheffield was a daughter of the late John Edward and Sarah Raborn Morton. She spent most of her career working in office administration at the Savannah River Site. She loved to shop and was a “first-class woman” to those that knew her. Mrs. Sheffield had a heart of gold and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She will be missed. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sheffield is survived by her daughter, Renee (John) Nader of Florida; several grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one great-great-grandchild, a brother, William (Elise) Morton of Columbia, SC and her four-legged friend, Button. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Russ Larsen and two brothers, Ted Morton and Jack Morton.
