AIKEN, SC – BETTE JEAN DOGGETT, 41, died suddenly, Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Augusta University Medical Center. Born in Warner Robbins, GA, Bette Jean grew up in Pascagoula, MS and later in Summerville, SC where she graduated from high school. She was a graduate of Clemson University where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and served as an orientation ambassador. Bette Jean was an educator, teaching school in North Carolina and then Hammond Hill Elementary and Midland Valley Prep. She was the administrator of Midland Valley Prep from 2008 until 2013 when she became a full-time mom. Survivors include her loving partner, Trevor J. Monica; her daughter, Mincey C. Monica; her son, McIntyre J. Monica, all of the home; her parents, Kathy Reynolds Mincey and Christopher B. Mincey, Gautier, MS; two brothers, Brad Doggett (Brooke), Summerville, SC, Brian Doggett, Summerville, SC; grandmother, Violet Faye Mincey, Millington, TN. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 25th beginning at 12:30 PM followed by the funeral service at 2 o’clock.
