AIKEN, SC – Mrs. Betty Prince Cook, 85, passed away peacefully at her home Friday, April 28, 2017. A native of Aiken, Betty graduated from Aiken High School in 1949 and from University of South Carolina in 1953 with a degree in Education. She taught in Aiken County public schools for 31 years. Betty was a lifelong member of Aiken First Baptist Church, and devoted herself to home, family and friends.She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert M. Cook, her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Cook, brothers'-in-law, Richard W. Cook (Jean), Frank E. Taylor (Bonnie), 3 nephews, 1 niece, several grand nephews and grand nieces, plus many beloved cousins.Betty was preceded in death by her father, Tillman Leroy Prince, her mother, Olive Woodward Prince, her sister, Linda Prince Taylor, infant brother, Tillman Leroy Prince, II and a nephew, Robert M. Cook, III (Trey).
