LEONARD RAY “BO” KELLEY, 69, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family following a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia with Parkinsons.
A native and lifelong resident of Aiken, Bo was a son of the late Leroy “Buck” and Lula Leach Kelley. He served in the Army National Guard. Bo was the retired owner of Bo Kelley Construction Co. and the former pastor of Bethesda Christian Center. He was a member of Grace Covenant Church of God.
Bo was preceded in death by his first wife, Tonie Miano Kelley, his parents and two brothers and sisters, William Kelley, Ronnie Kelley, Louise Fulmer and Leida Sternberg.
Survivors include two daughters, Chrissie McIlvoy (Ronnie), Stephanie Holt (Jason); four grandchildren, Kelley and Jack McIlvoy, Natalie and Coleman Holt, all of Aiken; six sisters, Mary Hill (Ed), Daisy Johnson (Gene), Betty Sheppard, Barbara Matthews (M.C.), Dorothy Fanning, all of Aiken, Lucille Proctor, Johnston.
Bo is also survived by his second wife, Brenda Chapman Kelley and her children, Christopher Chapman, April Windsor (Chris), Terry Chapman; grandchildren, Blake and Hannah Golden, Kaylan and Evan Windsor.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, January 12th from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held Friday afternoon, January 13th at 1 o’clock at the funeral home with Pastors David Holdman and Edgar Foster officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (www.lbda.org).
