Bobby Ayers

AIKEN, SC – BOBBY NEAL AYERS, 73, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA. A native of Corinth, MS, Bobby was a son of the late Bobby N and Mable Shaw Ayers. He worked as a maintenance planner in the nuclear industry for various companies.  His career took him all over the world, working in Guinea, West Africa, Russia, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Lithuania and his last assignment in Iowa.  He had been a resident of Aiken since 1986. Survivors include two daughters, Christa Ayers, Aiken, Kim Ayers, Belmont, MS; his grandson, Cory Justin “C.J.” Skipper, Jr. and his former wife, Julia Ayers, Aiken. A Celebration of Bobby’s Life will be Sunday afternoon, April 23rd from 2 until 4 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.
