Brandon Cody Thomas

ASHEVILLE, NC - Brandon Cody Thomas, 22, of Asheville, NC passed away on Thursday, December 7.     Brandon had a huge heart filled with love for God, his family, his friends, and his fiancée.  He always had a smile and a kind word for others.  He loved sports and could play a mean game of soccer. He stood firmly behind his Cardinals baseball team, the New Orleans Saints and Virginia Tech football.  He had a great fondness for animals, especially any that he felt were mistreated and his dogs were always an important part of his life.     He was dearly loved and will be missed by his surviving family, adoptive parents/maternal grandparents, Terry and Susan McDonald, mother and step father, Katrina Thomas and Polo Lopez, father, Timothy Thomas, paternal grandparents, Gary and Joanne Thomas, great-grandmother Coleen Shough, fiancée, Miranda Nazario, his aunts and uncles, Rita and John Arrup, Danny and Tiea Thomas, and Wendy  Thomas, and his cousins, Kelly Arrup, Noah Sharpe, Hunter Thomas, Tessa and Tripp Caffrey. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Aiken County Animal Shelter, 333 Wire Road, Aiken, SC 29805. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at 3:00 PM in the sanctuary of St. John’s United Methodist Church, Aiken,  where he was a member.  The Rev. Dr. Tim McClendon and the Rev.
