Carl Joseph Rowland III

AIKEN, SC - Mr. Carl Joseph Rowland III, 71, beloved husband of Paula Marie Rowland, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023.

Born in Charleston, SC, Mr. Rowland was the son of the late Jeanne Cole and Carl Joseph Rowland, Jr. He and his wife Paula were married in 1973 and moved to Aiken in 1980. He was a graduate of Charleston Southern University and retired from AVANTech, LLC as a contract manager. Mr. Rowland was a parishioner of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church and he was a member of Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Rowland is survived by his sister, Patricia Grantham, Jacksonville, FL and four brothers, Bruce (Lynn) Rowland, Aiken, SC, Eddie (Salley) Rowland, Washington, DC, Ernie (Marianne) Charleston, SC and Johnny Rowland of Bonneau, SC.

A Requiem Mass will be held Friday morning, April 14^th at the Old St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church on Park Avenue. Inurnment will follow in the church’s columbarium. The family will receive friends at St. Angela Hall following the service.
