Caryl Ann Miller

Caryl Ann Miller (née Keil) passed away peacefully on April 30, 2023 at the age of 85 following a brief illness. Caryl was born in Detroit, Michigan. She lived most of her life in Michigan, where she raised her children and spent as much time as possible enjoying their cottage on the St. Clair River. Caryl retired from General Motors after a 25 plus year-long career as an executive assistant. In 1998, she and her husband, Donald (Don), retired to Leesburg, FL. After Don’s passing, Caryl moved to Aiken, SC to be closer to her youngest daughter and grandchildren.  

Caryl was a devoted mother and grandmother, known for her tremendous generosity of spirit and friendliness. She was happiest spending time with her family. Caryl had a beautiful singing voice that could be heard throughout the day, but especially while she was singing in the church choir. Caryl had an unwaivering faith, which she celebrated her whole life, most recently at Millbrook Baptist Church. Everything she touched had a way of beaming brighter and flourishing, whether it be the thriving plants in her garden, the birds she loved to feed, or anyone lucky enough to interact with her. 

Caryl is survived by her three daughters, Kim, Lori, and Amy (Jimmy); seven grandchildren: Faro, Keil, Lia (Patrick), Eric, Jack, Daniel, and Carylann; her great grandson, Grayson; her sister, Janet; and nieces and nephews. Caryl is predeceased by her daughter, Shari, and her husband Don.
