Aiken – Mr. Charles Edward Kerner, 58, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020. Charles was born in Norfolk, VA, a son of Col. Robert Carl Kerner, Aiken, and the late Barbara McRee Kerner. In addition to his father, he is survived by his sister, Rebecca Ervasti, Lindstrom, MN; brothers, Eric Kerner, Aiken, Robert Kerner, Jr., Cary, NC, William Kerner, Tulsa, OK, nephews Will Kerner, Michael Thaisen, Ben Kerner, and niece Laura Thaisen Rice. Funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the donor's charity of choice.
