Charles Gary Lampley, Jr.

Aiken, SC - Charles Gary Lampley, Jr, 33, of Aiken, entered into rest on December 23^rd, 2018 to be with his Lord and Savior and be reunited with his most beloved mother.

     Chip arrived on February 20, 1985 as the firstborn of Charles and Rhonda (Franklin) Lampley. He attended Aiken County schools and graduated from South Aiken High School. He was a 2008 graduate of the College of Charleston, achieved Paralegal Certification from the University of South Carolina and was also a proud Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Brother.

     He had a deep interest in the law with aspirations to make that as his career, avidly followed politics, supported his Georgia Bulldogs and Green Bay Packers and loved animals. Chip gave love and was loved.

     He will be laid to rest near his predeceased and most beloved mother, Rhonda, with whom he was inseparable for all of their days together. He is also predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Gladys Franklin.

     Chip is survived by his father, Charles Gary Lampley, Sr., and best friend and loving sister, Carla Gayle. He also leaves his paternal grandparents, the Reverend Dr. Lewis and Mrs. Jeri Lampley, Newnan, GA; his maternal grandfather, Charles Franklin, Christiansburg, VA and a host of other aunts, uncles and cousins with whom he adored and enjoyed a deep mutual affection.

     Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home in Aiken, SC. Visitation hours will be Thursday, December 27^th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The funeral will be held on Friday, December 28^th at 10:00 am at the funeral home chapel with interment services at Southlawn Memorial Gardens.
