AIKEN, SC – CHARLES FRANKLIN McKENNA, 80, passed away peacefully Friday, November 19, 2021 on his 80thbirthday.
Born at home in Shreve, OH, Charles (Chuck) was a son of the late Herman and Clara Dunn McKenna. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Formerly of Point of Rocks, MD and Glengary, WV, Chuck retired from Giant Food in Ashburn, VA. He was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church, Aiken, SC. Chuck was lovingly known as “PapPap” by his family and most of his SC friends. The LORD Jesus, his late wife Jane, and his family were his greatest loves. He was an avid gardener, a master meatcutter, and a faithful Christian. He loved giving and receiving hugs from his family.
Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Willoner (Terry), six grandchildren, TJ Willoner (Haley), Emily Clark (Joshua), Rachel Willoner, Daniel Willioner, Sierra Willoner, and Quentin Willoner; three great-grandchildren, Jane Susan Clark, Mary Clark (due in April) and Jack Willoner (due in June).
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death in 2002 by his beloved wife of 40 years, Jane Claire Hudspeth McKenna.
A memorial worship service will be held Monday evening, November 29th at 6:30 PM at Foothills Christian Assembly, 615 Penn St., Edgefield, SC.
Due to allergies, the family requests Please No Flowers. Memorial contributions may be directed to Golden Harvest Food Bank or Gideons International.
