AIKEN, SC - Charlotte Hough Hair, 85, of Paducah, KY passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at her residence.
She was born on January 27, 1933 in Waynesboro, Tennessee to Charles Elmer Hough and Eula Meredith Hough.
Mrs. Hair began her nursing career at Aiken County Hospital in Aiken and later as a nurse at the Savannah River Plant. She retired as RN from Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, and was a member of First Baptist Church Paducah. She loved spending time with her family and visiting the beach.
Surviving are three sons, William T. Hair Jr. and wife, Linda of Aiken, SC, Tony Hair of Paducah, Robert Hair and wife, Melissa of Paducah; one sister, Betty Askew of Aiken, SC; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, William Tyler Hair; one sister, Helen Jensen; and one brother, Charles Robert Hough; as well as her parents.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning, June 9th beginning at 10 o’clock at Shellhouse- Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 o’clock at the funeral home with interment in Graniteville Cemetery.
The family would like to express a special thanks to her caregiver, Suzie (Suzanne) Thweatt as well as to the Lourdes Hospice Program.
