CHERYL LINDA LEFKOWITZ, 82, beloved wife of Paul H. Lefkowitz, passed away Monday evening, March 10, 2025 in her home with her family by her side.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Cheryl was the daughter of the late Louis and Jeanette Liff Weisberg. She was raised in Shaker Heights, Ohio, and proudly graduated as a member of the inaugural class of Beachwood High School. Her passion for the arts led her to attend the Moore Institute of Art, Science & Industry in Philadelphia and later complete her studies at the Cleveland Institute of Art.
In 1965, at the age of 22, Cheryl married her first husband, Norton Gordon, with whom she welcomed a daughter and a son. In the mid-1970s, she relocated to Dade County, Florida. Cheryl moved to Plantation, FL in 1984, where she met her beloved husband, Paul. They shared 40 wonderful years of marriage, moving to Aiken in 2005.
Cheryl was an accomplished artist and entrepreneur, co-owning and operating My Kid Sister, Inc. with her younger sister Wendy, a business that manufactured and coordinated infant bedding for well-known retailers including Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, and all the Federated Department Stores.
She is survived by her loving husband Paul; her daughter, Lisa Gordon Prenga of Aiken; her son, Sean Gordon (Alena Zotov Gordon) of Milton, Georgia; three cherished grandchildren, Jack Gordon, Samuel Gordon, and Francesca Prenga; her sister, Wendy Weisberg Steele (Alan Karten) of Aiken; as well as a half-brother, Warren Weisberg, and a half-sister, Vickie Weisberg Nathan.
A graveside service will be held Thursday afternoon, March 13th at 4:00pm at Sons of Israel Cemetery which is located at the back of Bethany Cemetery, 238 Hampton Ave NE, Aiken, SC 29801. Attendees should enter and drive to the rear of Bethany Cemetery.
