Claudia "Bobbie" Busbee

RIDGE SPRING, SC - CLAUDIA BARTON "BOBBIE" BUSBEE, 72, widow of the late George Luther Busbee, died Saturday, May 30, 2020 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Henry Chennault officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Born in Langley, SC, Mrs. Busbee was a daughter of the late Claude and Ruby Mae Jones Barton. She spent her career working in textiles with Sally Manufacturing and was a member of Rocky Grove Baptist Church. She loved to go dancing, grilling steaks with her family and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Mrs. Busbee was a very loving person that will be missed by many.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tressa Busbee, Ridge Spring, Darilee Staley, Aiken; one son, Shannon Busbee, Manning, SC; eight grandchildren, Miranda Staley, Gamila (George) McKie, Vanny Staley III, Xavier Staley, Ezekial Staley, Amber Staley, Angel Staley, Shannon Leena Charlene Busbee; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Brenda Black Zeigler, West Columbia, SC and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Claude Busbee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
