DANA DUANE WILLIS, 72, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024 in his home.
A native of Long Beach, CA, Dana was a son of the late Donald Duane and Dorothy Ann Silkowski Willis. He was a retired pipefitter and journeyman with The Trades Local 250 in Los Angeles, CA.
Dana was an avid surfer. When he wasn’t laying pipe in steam and nuclear plants across the United States, Alaska and Canada, you would find him surfing in the waters off the coast of Southern California. Surfing was his number one passion in life. He made Aiken, SC his home since 2014.
Survivors include his fiancé, Paula Ann Catt; two daughters, Leah Willis, Delia Gonzales; a son, Dustin Willis; six grandchildren, Ryan Lee Willis, Cheyanne Graham, Sierra Graham, Cynthia Gonzalez, Andrew Ryan Oden, Branden Oden; four sisters, Debbie Heimstra, Mary Belay, Nanci Salas, Lisa Kelley; a brother, Jeff Sheahan.
His children will be holding a Celebration of Dana’s Life at a date to be determined.
