Danny Robert Harris

AIKEN, SC – DANNY ROBERT HARRIS, 71, beloved husband of Laura Patterson Harris, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 5, 2023 at his residence.

A native of Atlanta, GA, Danny was a son of the late James Carroll and Helen King Harris.  He lived most of his life in Georgia.  He was a paramedic with Dekalb County Public Safety, retiring after 30 years as a Lieutenant.  Danny was the former owner of Dixie Pool & Spa in Stone Mountain, GA.  He attended Luther Rice Seminary and served as a missionary.  He was an avid photographer formerly working with Lifetouch Photography.

Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Laura; three children, Tommy Harris (Fiancée, Kerine Haney), Cleveland, TN, Adam Harris, Batesburg, SC, Mary Murphy (Jamie), Batesburg; grandchildren, Taylor Harris (Jordan), Jessie Haney (Cody), Ainsley Barns (Brent), Meghan Harris (Jonathan Spivey), Chase Harris (Chelsey), Abby Harris, Gavin Harris, Halie Crockett (Stephen Bailey), Lauren Francis (Joshua), Lanie Crockett (Brendon Michaud), Larissa Crockett, Zachary Crockett, Daniel Crockett, Jamie Lee Murphy; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Florence Young (Joe), FL, Lavonne Smith (Richard), GA; brothers, James Harris (Mary), FL, Billy Harris, GA.

A graveside service will be held Thursday morning, February 9^th at 10 o’clock in Southlawn Cemetery with The Rev. Danny Wilson officiating.
