Darlene D. Foster

AIKEN, SC – DARLENE DERRICK FOSTER, 59, beloved wife of R. Curtis “Curt” Foster, Jr., passed away suddenly Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

     Born in Columbia, SC, Darlene was a daughter of Beatrice Poole Derrick and the late James Edward Derrick.  She lived most of her life in Aiken County and was the most caring and loving Nana, Mama, wife and daughter.  She took care of everyone and was always there to help and listen.  Darlene was a big kid at heart and always took the time to play with her grandbabies.  She had a passion to make sure everyone felt loved and cared for.  Darlene especially loved being near the water.  She loved the beach and laying by the pool. 

     Surviving, in addition to her husband Curt and mother Beatrice, include her daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Matt Smalley, Aiken and two grandchildren, Preston and Lilly Smalley.

     The family will receive friends Friday afternoon, January 29^th from 2 until 3 o’clock at Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville.  The funeral service will follow at 3 o’clock with Pastor Stephen Phillips officiating.  Interment will be in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
