David Alton Wilson

June 16, 1940 — October 12, 2020

Aiken – MSGT U.S. Air Force (Retired) David Alton Wilson, 80, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020.

Mr. Wilson was born in Rockingham, NC, a son of the late Harry Levon Wilson and Evelyn Wright Wilson.  While in the U.S. Air Force, he served in Combat Control and Delta Force. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Cora Anne Richardson Wilson; a son, Bobby (Jennifer) Wilson, Simpsonville, SC; a daughter, Chantee Wilson Pathak, Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Natalie Wilson, Collin Wilson, Maddie Wilson, Cyndi Wilson, David A. Wilson III, and Tadd Sanford Eubanks; two sisters, Brenda Hassell and Betty Ann (Wilson) Rose; and two brothers, Chris Wilson and Harry Lee Vaughn Wilson.  He was preceded in death by a son, David Alton Wilson, Jr.

A service will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, October 20, 2020 in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, with full military honors.  The service will be broadcast live on the Shellhouse and Shellhouse-Rivers Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/srfhandsfh)
