Deanna Abernathy "Nan" Snyder

AIKEN, SC - Mrs. Deanna Abernathy "Nan" Snyder, 83, beloved wife of David M. Snyder, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at her home. Born in Mount Holly, NC, Nan was the youngest daughter of the late Samuel Wilson Abernathy and Dulcie Echols Patterson Abernathy. Nan was proud to be a descendant on her mother's side of John Marshall, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in the early 1800s. In addition to her husband, Nan is survived by her two stepdaughters, Judy (Bill) Kraus, Karen Snyder; grandchildren, Brian Kraus, Amy Bergman; sister, Dibbie Green; nieces, Beth Green (Robert Grovac), Nancy (Burt) Jackson; nephew, Thomas (Noelle) Green; and Nan's dearest friend, Bonnie Bopp. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Friends of the Animal Shelter, FOTUS, PO Box 2207, Aiken, SC 29802.
