Delia Bishop Boatright

Delia Bishop Boatright, 91, of Aiken, South Carolina, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, at Lexington Extended Care.

Born in Union, South Carolina on June 26, 1932. Delia married George Boatright and moved to Aiken, SC in 1953.

Delia worked in the cafeteria at Savannah River Site during the Cold War. She then finished her career as a homemaker. Delia was a member of South Aiken Baptist Church.

Delia was preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Boatright. Survivors include two sisters, Ann Reynolds (John), Orangeburg, SC, Jane Miller (Bill), Navasota, TX; a son and daughter in law, Michael “Mike” and Christie Boatright, Gilbert, SC; three grandchildren, Austin Boatright (Katie), Batesburg-Leesville, SC, Haley Boatright, Miami, FL, and Laura Boatright, Lexington, SC.

Visitation will be held at Shellhouse Rivers Funeral Home in Aiken, SC on Friday, December 15th from 6 to 8 pm. There will be a funeral service on Dec 16 at 1 pm at the funeral home, followed by a burial service at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville, SC.
