Diane Laura Franklin

AIKEN, SC - Diane Laura Heath Franklin, of Aiken, passed away on October 12, 2022. She was born to Gene Heath and the late Eleanor Heath on February 15, 1971. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Teddy Franklin, her son, who made up the entirety of her world, Kenny, and her most proud accomplishment, her grandson Titus.

     Diane led a simple life. Diane worked for over 20 years at AGY in Aiken, SC, and was most recently employed at the Aiken Standard where she thrived in advertisement sales. She loved Teddy, Kenny, Titus, her dogs, painting, flowers, and butterflies. She was a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Her love was fierce and unconditional. Diane was an incredibly joyful, funny, amazing, and outgoing person – once you met her, you never forgot her. She made an impact on everyone she met and always made everyone feel included. Those that knew her best know that she was a devout mother to Kenny, but also to her beloved Chihuahuas. However, her love for Titus trumped them all. Diane was the most amazing mother to Kenny and paved the foundation for her son and future generations. Diane exemplified unconditional love to her husband and son. She taught her son that “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.”  She will forever be remembered and missed by generations to come. 

     Diane is survived by her husband Teddy Franklin, son Kenny Heath (Justina), her father Gene Heath, her sisters Vickie Plunkett and Mary Heath, her brother Wayne Heath (Rhonda), her grandson (her most prized accomplishment, other than Kenny) Titus Heath, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

     The funeral will be held at Shellhouse Rivers on Tuesday morning, October 18^th at 11 o’clock with The Rev. Danny Wilson officiating.
