Donald "Beady" Lee Rains Sr., aged 86, of Aiken, South Carolina, surrounded by family peacefully passed away on February 9, 2024. Born on March 14, 1937, in Clinton, South Carolina, he was a man whose life was defined by the enduring values of hard work, family, and his love for Jehovah.
Mourning his departure yet celebrating his legacy are his devoted son, Lee Rains, and his wife, Sharon; his loving daughter, Donna Rains; his cherished granddaughter, Tiffany Henderson, and her husband, Justin; and his treasured great-grandchildren, Bennett and Emma Henderson. His sister, Louise Herndon, also survives him, carrying forward the memories of their shared past. Preceding him in passing was his beloved wife, Shirley Morton Rains, and his twelve siblings.
He was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in the tranquility of fishing and the excitement of engaging with nature, even when it meant the daring task of robbing yellow jackets' nests. Beady also devoted time to Kingdom Hall Builds and engaging in the preaching work, combining his passion for construction with his spiritual life at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us in a service on Sunday February 18th at 2:00 pm to honor the memory of Beady Rains at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 502 Croft Mill Rd, Aiken, SC. Here, surrounded by those who loved him, we will bid a fond farewell to a man whose life was a testament to love, laughter, and the joy of giving. He will truly be missed by all.
