Doris Colleen Greene

Aiken, SC - Doris Colleen Greene, 83, went to her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family on September 11, 2017. She was born in Taylorsville, NC on September 19, 1933. Colleen was predeceased by her husband L.C. Greene Jr.; mother, Blanche Warren and father John Harvey Matheson; sisters, Sue Perry, Helen Jackson and Joyce Starvakas; grandchildren, Tracey Jones and Zack Foreman. Surviving are her children, Marcia Caldwell (John) Summerville, SC, Lynne Bohman (Terre) Mt. Pleasant, SC, Kim Beeland (John) Aiken, SC, Cindy Jones (Tim) Raleigh, NC, Geraldine Foreman (Ronnie) Surfside Beach, SC and John Greene ( Debbie) Surfside Beach SC; grandchildren, Melissa Phillips (Dave), Stacey Phillips, Mike Bohman ( Autumn), Chad Bohman (Amy), Christine Eller (Erik), Taylor Bohman (Lindsey), Cecil Beeland (Jessica), Sara Beeland, Lauren Corne (Tahj), Lindsay Jones (Annette), Erik Jones, Troy Greene, Phil Greene, Chris Greene, Jonathan Greene and twenty nine great-grandchildren. Colleen was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a breast cancer survivor and a member of the Pink Ribbonettes. She volunteered for many years at the Cancer Center at Aiken Regional Medical Center and retired from Bank of America after 20 years of service. Colleen loved her country and took great pride in being a military wife for 25 years. She was most proud of her children and grandchildren. The family will receive friends on September 14, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Millbrook Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with The Rev. Bill Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery.
