AIKEN - Services for Mrs. Doris K. Wooden, will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the Shellhouse Funeral Home Chapel, Hayne Ave. Aiken, SC. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery of Aiken, SC. A. A. Dicks Funeral Home Columbia, SC. is in charge of these arrangements. Public viewing and visitation will be held Monday 4PM until 6PM at Shellhouse Funeral Home. Doris was born in Aiken, SC. to the late Annie Bell Fraizer (Boisy) Johnson and Wallace Kitchings. She was the widow of the late Connie Louis Wooden. She was a member of the 1964 graduating class of Martha Schofield High School.Mrs. Wooden was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church of Wagner-Salley, SC. where she served the Usher's ministry, the Beautification Committee and the Nursery. She retired as Dietician from Mattie C. Hall Healthcare Center after twenty-six years. Left to cherish fond and precious memories are: her daughter, Teresa (Troy) Callahan of Aiken; three granddaughters, Dr. Courtney (Haran) Callahan-Griffrin and Jamilla and Daaiya Johnson; a nephew, Duane (Victoria) Johnson Muhammad; an aunt, Evelyn (Ernie) Graham all of Atlanta GA.; an uncle, Hazel (Doris) Kitchings of Washington, DC; four sisters-in-law, Dorothy Ware of Detroit, MI, Doris Griffin of Ninety-Six, SC., Gloria Williams of Aiken, and Barbara Gantt of Columbia, SC; a god daughter, Frankie Stevens of North Augusta SC, six devoted friends, Betty Ashley, Betty Gyles, Jean Mance, Bernice McKie and Tina Thompson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
