DR. TERRENCE JOSEPH HARRIS, 89, beloved husband of Donna Lynn Domaracki Harris, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers with his loving family by his side.
A native of East Chicago, IN, Terry was a son of the late Joseph and Helen Poi Harris. Terry grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, graduating from Mt. Lebanon High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Gettysburg College and then graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He achieved the rank of Captain in the Army Dental Corps before starting his own dental practice in Pittsburgh and then later in Hilton Head Island, SC.
Terry was a lifelong Steelers and Penguins fan. He enjoyed golfing at Long Cove Club, as well as boating and fishing. He then moved to Early Branch, SC, where he engaged in tree farming and deer hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna; two sons, Brett Michael Harris (Charlotte) of Nassau, Bahamas, and Craig Joseph Harris (Laura) of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Wyatt Harris (Kennedy), Elisabeth Harris, Jake Harris, and Luke Harris; a great-granddaughter, Gwen Harris; and a brother, Dr. Bruce G. Harris (Nancy) of Carlisle, PA; many loving nieces and nephews, and a special young man from Bosnia whom they accepted into their family, Edin Hrvanovic’ (Kelly), Charlston, SC and their children, Edin and Ivy.
A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be Saturday morning, August 3rd at 11 o'clock at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to The Wounded Warrior Project.
