Drucilla Jackson Wood

    AIKEN, SC – DRUCILLA JACKSON WOOD, 77, widow of Olin T. Wood, died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Anchor Health and Rehab. A native of Edgefield, Drucilla was a daughter of the late Lewis H. and Thelma Newsome Jackson. She lived most her life in Aiken and retired from the South Carolina Employment Security Commission. She was a member of Aiken’s First Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Thompson (David), North Augusta, Sherri Matthews (Wayne), Saluda; three grandsons, Stuart Thompson (Britney), Derek Thompson (Katy) and Dylan Matthews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, evening, May 9th from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock at the funeral home with The Rev. Dr. Henry L. Chennault officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Stuart Thompson, Derek Thompson, Dylan Matthews, Jerry Jackson, Bob Jackson and Will Jackson.
