Duncan Michael Courtney

DUNCAN MICHAEL COURTNEY, 63, passed away Wednesday evening, July 12, 2023 in Aiken Rehabilitation and Care Center.

A native and lifelong resident of Aiken, Duncan was a son of the late Gordon H. and Dorothy Rebecca Weeks Courtney, Sr.  He had been a resident of Tri-Development since 2003 and was a member of Aiken’s First Baptist Church.  He loved his “Little Golden Books”.

Surviving are his brothers, Clancy Courtney (Fain), Columbia, SC and Gordon Courtney, Jr. (Nancy), Aiken; nephews, Trey Courtney (Amy) and David Courtney (Erin).

The family will receive friends Tuesday morning, July 18^th beginning at 10 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.  A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 11 o’clock with The Rev. Dr. Fred W. Andrea III officiating.  Inurnment will follow in historic Bethany Cemetery.
