Ed Lorey

AIKEN, SC – ED LOREY, age 75, entered into rest on March 4, 2018 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 4, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA. Ed is loved and survived by his wife Ginny Lorey. He was a loving father to Timothy Lorey (Michelle) of Altamonte Springs, FL and Carolyn Martinez (Chris) of Sanford, FL. Also survived by brother Michael Lorey (Karen), Raleigh, NC, Eric Lynch (Taylor) of Pittsburgh, granddaughters, Bridget, Brandie, Emma and Samantha of Florida.   He is also survived by nephew Stephen Lorey of Raleigh, NC and many loving cousins, as well as many wonderful friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon, March 6th from 2 until 4 o’clock and Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Road in Aiken. A Mass will be held Wednesday afternoon, March 7th at 12:15 PM at The Church of the Most Holy Trinity, 720 Telfair Street in Augusta, GA. The Graveside service and interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Church of the Most Holy Trinity in Augusta, GA or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
