Edwin Andre DePriest

AIKEN – Mr. Edwin Andre DePriest, 71, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Mr. DePriest was born in Charleston, SC, a son of the late Nello Noah and Ermina Martin DePriest.  He moved to Aiken at the end of 1978, and was a former Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Edwin always put his wife, family, and faith first.  He was proud of his family’s accomplishments, and loved nature and the outdoors. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joann Cook DePriest; daughter, April (Derrick) Pease, Arizona; sons, Jonathan (Rachel) DePriest, N. Charleston, Adam DePriest, Aiken, Andrew DePriest, Aiken; grandchildren, Josiah, Jasmine, Micaiah, Lillian, Reuben, and Ian; sister, Sandra (Thurston) Wilde, Goose Creek; brother, Robert (Nancy) DePriest, Goose Creek. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 22, 2018 in the Shellhouse Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Dr. Fred W.
