Elaine Woodward Burbage

AIKEN, SC – Mrs. Elaine Woodward Burbage, 89, beloved wife of Woodrow Robert Burbage, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home with The Rev. Jason Redd officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. A private interment will be held in Graniteville Cemetery.

Born in Aiken, Mrs. Burbage was the daughter of the late John William and Debbie Baughman Woodward. She spent her career working in healthcare as an LPN. She and her family spent time living in Tennessee, Alabama and South Africa before settling back to Aiken in 1990. Mrs. Burbage was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She and Mr. Burbage loved to travel and see the country in their motorhome. 

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Burbage is survived by her daughter, Paula (Keith) Herrington; son, Robert Burbage, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a sister Kathryn Walker.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Burbage.
