Elise Franklin Eubanks

AIKEN – Mrs. Elise Helen Franklin Eubanks, 86, went home peacefully to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 1, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 4, 2017 at Millbrook Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Philip Dunn officiating. The family will then receive friends at the church followed by interment in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Millbrook Baptist Church Ushers, and honorary pallbearers will be the Millbrook Sunshine Ladies. She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Ronnie) Groomes, Graniteville, SC, Nancy (Marion) Padgett, Aiken; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kenny) Weirich, Lexington, SC, Dr. Lindsey Elise Padgett, San Diego, CA; one great grandchild, Mason Ryan Weirich who brought her much joy; and a sister, Joyce Fulmer, Aiken. Mrs. Eubanks was born in Eureka, SC and was a lifelong resident of Aiken. She was a daughter of the late Dancil Umphrey and Pearlie Temples Franklin. She worked and retired as a seamstress from Aiken Industries. She was an active, long-time member of Millbrook Baptist Church, and enjoyed reading the Bible, gardening, fishing, cooking for friends and family, and watching old movies. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was loved by many and had many devoted friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Odell Wilson Eubanks, who died on December 22, 2009. A special thanks goes out to her loving caregivers at Hitchcock Place and Tidewater Hospice.
