Fay Rearden Morton

AIKEN, SC – Mrs. Fay Rearden Morton, 91, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, January 11, 2019 at Memorial Baptist Church with the Reverend Charles Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends at 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Patterson, Keith Spires, Taylor Barden, Todd Alexander, Alan Owings and Charles L. Fitzgerald. A lifelong resident of Aiken County, Mrs. Morton worked for Farmers and Merchants Bank as an administrative assistant. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.Survivors include three daughters, Kittie Ann Morton, North Augusta, Cindy (Ken) Cooper, Charlotte, NC, Frances Carter, Grovetown, GA; eight grandchildren, Clay (Deborah) Carter, Jennifer Carter, Adrienne (Scott) Patterson, Allison (Keith) Spires, Lauren (Todd) Alexander, Beth (Taylor) Barden, Dawn Phillips, Karen Sanders, many great-grandchildren and her best friend, Pearl Mack. Mrs. Morton was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, John Albert Morton. Memorials may be directed to Memorial Baptist Church, 3100 Vaucluse Rd., Aiken, SC 29801.
