Aiken – Mrs. Frances Jean Wilson, 87, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Etowah, TN, a daughter of the late Charles H. Wilson and Flora Belle Smith Wilson. Aiken had been her home since 1954, and she retired as a QA Inspector for Thermodisc. In her healthy years, she enjoyed camping, spending time in the Great Smoky Mountains, church, cleaning house and spending time with family. Some proud moments were seeing Bren graduate college from The Citadel and Hunter graduating from USCA.
She is survived by her son, Randy (Teresa) Wilson, Aiken; grandchildren, Hunter C. Wilson, Aiken, and Brendon K. (Kensley) Wilson, Mt. Pleasant; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Harold Kenneth Wilson; sisters, Bobbie Burger (Chattanooga, TN) and Edith Hesten (Newcomers Town, OH); and brother, Herman Wilson (Etowah, TN).
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, and the funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM Wednesday, February 1, 2023, in the Shellhouse Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Trevor Burrow officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.

The family would like to say thank you and express our appreciation to the techs, nurses, doctors, Brandi, Haileigh, and medical staff on the third floor at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Also, the team of Regency Hospice; Scott, Renee, Tanner, and aides we didn’t meet.
She will be missed by many.
