Frank Tyler Johnson

Mr. Frank Tyler Johnson, 60, entered into rest July 15, 2023. The youngest son of the late Frank Allen and Peggie Tyler Johnson, he was born and raised in Aiken though recently resided in Couchton, South Carolina. 

To know Frank was to love him. His infectious laugh, warm, loving and caring personality are unmatched by most. Frank fiercely loved his family and friends; the epitome of someone who never met a stranger. He also loved fishing, NASCAR and the Clemson Tigers. On few occasions would you see him without his Clemson baseball hat. 

Frank was employed with D & R Estates as a skilled handyman on which his community relied upon, and was a member of Redd's Branch Baptist Church. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and older brothers Tommy and Jeff Johnson. 

He is survived by his lifelong friend and sister, Debra (Doug) Powell of Augusta, Ga, and two sisters-in-law Darlene Johnson of Aiken and Sherrie Johnson of New Ellenton. He will also be immensely missed by his many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces that referred to him as "Mister Whitey", who share fond memories including pizza and popcorn nights, watching wrestling, camping and visiting Tybee Island, Ga. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday evening at Shellhouse Funeral Home,  924 Hayne Ave.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 19th at 2:00 pm at Redd’s Branch Baptist Church.
