Frank J. Schibik, Jr.

     Frank Joseph Schibik, Jr. born June 30, 1936 in Pittsburg, PA, entered eternal rest on Friday, October 20, 2023.  He was the son of the late Frank Joseph Schibik, Sr. and Laura Clauentzer Schibik.  He retired with 22 years of service with the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps.  He served in the Vietnam and the Korean War. He made Aiken his home for more than 60 years.  He was a post advocate for VFW Post 5877.

     He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Ellen Higginbottom Schibik; his brother, Jimmy Schibik; his son, Jason Warren Schibik (Tammy); granddaughters, Ash’Lee Wilson, Cassey Schibik Boothe (Chad); a grandson, Dylan Schibik-Davis; great grandchildren, J’Lynn Wright, Ryan and Conner Boothe.  His extended grandchildren, Carlie Thomas (Dillon), Miranda Burton (Eric); great-grandchildren, Nora and Ellie Thomas and Chandler and Aubrey Burton. 

     He was preceded in death by his parents; his three children; Kirk Anthony Schibik, Tammy Ann Schibik and Timothy Allen Schibik; twin brother Richard George Schibik and brother Johnny Schibik.

     The family will receive friends Friday afternoon October 27^th beginning at noon at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 1 o’clock in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will be in Southlawn Cemetery with military honors.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) .
