Aiken – Mr. George S. Roe,. Jr., 88, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023.

Mr. Roe was born in Aiken, son of the late George Samuel Roe, Sr. and Myrtis Couch Roe. He was an electrician, and member of the IBEW.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Essie Mae Waldron Roe; son, Christopher (Suzie) Roe, Aiken; step son, Earl (Tracy) Sutton, Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Jacob Roe, Spencer Roe, Samantha Roe, and Mason Sutton; great grandson, Leviticus Roe; sister, Wynez Roe, Aiken; brother, Ralph Roe, Aiken. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul E. Roe, Sr.; nephews, Paul E. Roe, Jr., Eddie Roe, and David Roe.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in the Shellhouse Funeral Home chapel with Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating. Interment, with US Navy honors, will follow in the Clear Water Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
