Aiken – Mr. Gordon Lawless Woodbury, 90 years old, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. Gordon was born in Portland, ME and is the son of the late Howard and Sara Lawless Woodbury. He served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars first in the United States Navy for 2 years and then with the United States Air Force where he retired after 20 years of service. He was one of the greatest Fisherman and his military service afforded him the opportunity to fish all over the world, but Alaska was his all-time favorite place to have fished and hunted. He made sure all his grandsons loved to fish and they all have a fishing story with Grandpa. His granddaughters weren't all that interested. Gordon is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Beverly Woodbury, Daughters, Lynda (Kevin) Trotman, Aiken; Cheryl (Paul) Tomlinson, Sierra Vista, AZ; and Sons, Gordon (Caren) Woodbury, Litchfield Park, AZ; Stephen (Robin) Woodbury, Palmetto, FL. Gordon & Beveraly have 11 Grandchildren; Nine Great Grandchildren and One Great, Great Grandson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Sister, Dawn Miles. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
